Sweet Ol’ Santa Wows ‘Em in Delta

December 7th, 2008

You could practically hear the kids’ eyeballs pop out of their heads when Sweet Ol’ Santa came bounding into the banquet hall with his bell ringing and his belly laughing.

“Ho - ho - ho!” and Santa was on a roll, giving out presents and candy to all the good girls and boys in attendance at the Town and Country Inn at Delta, BC on Saturday. Taking time out from his busy pre-Christmas schedule for a special visit, everyone from young and old lined up for a chance to sit on Santa’s knee and tell him what they wanted for Christmas.

“Wii games. Everyone wants Wii games” Santa shared afterwards “but much more than that, I can’t really say. You don’t want to spoil the Christmas morning surprise, do you?”

Sweet Ol’ Santa winked, chuckled and hugged holiday requests from the crowd all afternoon before hopping his sleigh and heading north.  Every family walked away happily with presents for their children and balloons to fill their mini-vans.

With only weeks left before the big day, make sure to Book Your Special Visit from Santa now.

Jingles

December 3rd, 2008

Over the past several days some of the elves, the reindeer Team and I have been conducting some experimental flights in order to work out any bugs pertaining to the sleigh, it is critical that we have everything worked out before the big night.

While we were on one of our flights earlier today, we were flying over an enchanting forest we have not visited in many years.  Due to some complications (since resolved) we had to make an emergency landing.  While in the forest we discovered a rare Forest Elf that had fallen out of a high tree and was injured, after explaining to him who I was we were able to mend the injured areas of his body.  He was so thankful he asked if he could return to Santa’s village with us.  I did not see any harm in this, therefore he retured to the North Pole with us.

Forest Elves are very curious creatures and very shy until they feel comfortable with their surroundings, I have decided to take him with me when I make my special visits to the very good children.  I will be visiting a school in Nanaimo BC, Canada later today, as I was explaining this the best I could to my new friend he told me his name, it is JINGLES, what a wonderful name.  I am posting a picture of him, please remember if we visit you be very gentle with Jingles.

HO HO HO, I should get some rest before my trip to Nanaimo.

Oh, Its Just Too Busy to Get Anything Done

December 2nd, 2008

Every year I think its going to be different - that I’ll be on top of things and have everything work out smoothly, exactly how I planned it.  And every year it never works out how I planned it.

We are running, running and running ourselves ragged here at the NorthPole. This blog and our digital media efforts are just not happening the way we wanted them to - but we’ll keep at it. The presents factories are also a little behind, with the recent global financial interruptions and everything connected with that.

Will we make it for Christmas? Every year I wonder, but every year we somehow manage to get it all done.

BTW - Bobbles, have you seen my ‘naughty or nice’ list markers lately?

Santa’s Glasses

November 30th, 2008

Has anyone seen my glasses, cant see a thing without them.  Took a little nap and when I woke up they were not on the table where I left them.  It may seem funny to whoever is playing a trick on me, but it is messing with the schedule as I cannot read the LIST to check it twice and I can’t read the letters sent by the children.

Please return them as soon as possible.

thanks

A Great Day at the Pole

November 27th, 2008

Ho Ho Ho, I would like to report that today was a great day at the pole, This morning the elves repaired the sleigh loading conveyor, this will definitely save us time when we load the sleigh, excellent work.

All the children checked today were on the nice list, that is awesome to see and we finalized the presents for Abigail, Richard, Bobby, Sven, Debbie, Catherine, Phoebe and Oliver.  We seem to be just about back on Schedule.

As there is only 27 days until we take off on our most important flight of the year, it is time to test the sleigh and the reindeer , we have scheduled an experimental flight which will depart in 25min.  We are expecting a heavier load this year(no it’s not because of all the yummy cookies Mrs. Claus has been baking) because of the overwhelming amount of children on the nice list and we want to be certain we can maintain our delivery times, WE cannot be LATE.  We also have some new equipment that requires tweaking.

Look at the time……I have to get going….Oh on another note, what do you think of Paisley Elf’s water color of me….I think she did a great job, Thanks Paisley.
